CLINICAL PSYCOLOGIST
Why are you interest in the field?
I am interested in becoming a clinical psychologist, because I love working with people and interacting with them. Also I want to help the people who have problems disabilities, people with a lot of behavior problems too. We help also work with people who have depression problemsand people who also have relationship problems. So I think this job for me is very interesting, because I can learn more about giving good advice and to have the opportunity to help those people that need someone to help them. I also love listening to people, and in this type of job you will need to listen a lot and to talk less because you to know how to solve the problem and what would be thenext step. This job is not easy you work with a lot of people with different issues and you need to have a lot of patience and love to be able to help them. Since I was little I always wanted to do something to help the people that have issues and I really like this kind of job even though is hard, because you see a lot of things going on and sometimes it just sad.

Preparation
What training oreducation is required for the career? If a degrees needed, what degree and how many years? Is an internship needed for this type of career? What qualification or licenses are needed?
To become a clinical psychology you need to have a doctorate degree. In this type of profession there two types of degree PH.D and PSY.D. The PSY.D is based on education model, they work with people that havemental health and may work a lot in private practices. PH.D is working in the field of clinical psychology and counseling psychology. The degree that I want to choose is PSY.D after passing my licensing exams then I can start doing my job.
This is helping mental disorders, conducting psychological test, doing evaluations. As clinical psychologist we work in hospitals, mental health clinic, school. Weare train to understand the mind and the different behaviors so that we may be able to help people with metal illness. To be able to graduate is almost four to seven years. as a student they teach you to do all types of service, to able to practice different situations. For this type of profession you do need on internship and is one year.
With the supervision of a licensed psychology you workpart time in different things of clinical psychology. Then after that we need to take on exam to be able to be license psychology. If you want to get a master degree than is two years more of studying and usually is requirement for psychologist.
The qualifications for this type of job are that you need to have good communication skills; you need you have a lot of love and kind to these peoplebecause there special. One important key is to have patience and to be able to solve whatever situation and also to listen to them.
Also to have this job you need to be mature on all sense, you need to always make decisions wise, be able to show that you are able to whatever advice that you give them has to be right and to be able to come prepare always, for whatever case.

The job outlook for Clinical Psychology is usually working at hospitals, schools, mental hospital, and special people, also working with children who have been abusive and for that you need to help to do a court so that they can get theirrights back, people with relationship problems, you deal a lot with depression and people who have addiction problems. It is expected to grow 22 percent in all the occupations of psychology.
