This country to have so many islands and so many people suffer from many problems and one of them and the most important are human rights and the death penalty. The human rights defenders whoare discover of the death penalty in Indonesia continue to face threats, intimidation, restriction on their freedom of expression and assembly, judicial harassment, abuse, torture, disappearances andkillings. Many of these crimes against defenders are caused by members of the security forces and criminal groups in the service of the authorities. According to United Nations, Indonesian society hasa serious problem in the knowledge of human rights throughout the country. Organizations actively denounce the violations of human rights and have mobilized public opinion in favor of rapidgovernment response to these demands. The community of human rights defenders in Indonesia include students, journalists, lawyers, workers and intellectuals, as well as humanitarian workers.Indonesia and the handmaids tale have a connection because of their death penalty wich is that they hang people by the neck if they commit any crime or offence. the onlydiffenrence is that in Indonesia also torture people for their crimes.
