EDUCATION SYSTEM IN SPAIN

Is not a good time for education system in Spain. Education ratings reveal that Spain occupies a lower position in the classification respect other European countries.So, this is not the only problem, but also, OCDE information explains that 23% of youth people are unemployed. How can we interpret this situation? What are the reasons of this problem?

Nowadays, itis true that Spain is living a difficult economic situation, but this is not the main reason that explains the wear of the education. Since “Plan Bolonia” has been introduced, University feeds haveincreased more than a 50% in all Spain; teacher’s salary is being reduced, classes are full of students, and in consequence, the education is worst. Actually, we are witnesses of the lies of theGovernment when they said that this new plan would increase the quality of the education, but in fact, the reality is very different. Because of that, students around the country, have organized differentprotest to highlight the plight of the growing number of students being priced out of obtaining a degree. Economic factor is an important reason to explain the low level of the education.

In theother hand, in order to understand the system in which we are being educated, it is necessary to ask ourselves the base of the education structure. Actually, education is not focused in the independenceand personal autonomy of the student. In the actual education system, the students are punished when they fail; their intelligence only depends of the marks. The students, had to obtain a high marks,because this is the final objective, the learning process doesn’t matter, and if the students can’t have successful in their studies, in the future they going to have a lot of problems to be interestedin the studies, because they will think that they haven’t got enough intelligence.
