GEOGRAPHY OF AYSEN
INTRO:
The Region Aysén of The General Carlos Ibáñez De el Campo (known simply as Region of Aysén, Aysén or the XIth Region) is one of fifteen regions in which Chile isdivided. It limits in the northern part with the Region of The Lagos, in the southern part with the Region of Magellan and of the Antarctic Chilean one, in the eastern part with the Republic Argentina andin the western part with the Pacific Ocean. Located in the western Patagonia, Aysén possesses a surface of 108.494,4 km ², turning her into the third biggest of the country (after Magellan andAntofagasta). His population estimated to the year 2010 belonged 104.843 inhabitants, being like that least populated with the country and also the least dense. Administratively, the region is composed by theprovinces of Aysén, Captain Prat, Coyhaique, General Carrera, that in total they add 10 communes.
