Talking about the history of SPIRITS AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FACTORY OFANTIOCH, is to tell the story of the Spirits in Colombia, is back in time to the time when we still spoke of colonial Spanish government organization in this territory.

In the late eighteenth centurythe government becomes the production and consumption of liquor in a Tobacconists income, to raise money and control the sale of liquor. Consumption of spirits was remarkable at the time, because therevenues for this concept threw a good performance. The income of the spirit, rigorous colonialist institution, almost became extinct in 1810 while the Spanish hegemony in the territories.

In 1870,after a period of turmoil in which predominated the illegal sale of liquor, it becomes the monopoly of the liquor and the lease to private.

By Ordinance 38 of 1919, is createdin an old building and conditioning, "THE SACATÍN" predecessor Liquor Factory, which is responsible for managing the production and sale of liquors in Antioquia.

Born in 1910 the administrativeboard that will give each department the authority to administer the income from the liquor.

In 1968, born SPIRITS AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FACTORY OF ANTIOCH.

Thanks to the Constitutional Reform of1968, which allows the creation of industrial and commercial enterprises of the State Liquor Factory was born.

Nationally FACTORY OF SPIRITS AND ALCOHOLIC of Antioch is considered the first liquorstore in the country.
