DAY OF THE TEACHER
The teacher’s day is a holiday which is celebrated at the teachers, professors and teachers.
As president of the Republic Don Venustiano Carranza,he signed a decree which declares this day as the day of the teacher. In 1917 two members of the Congress of the Union, the Coronel Benito Ramirez Garcia and Dr.Enrique Viesca Lobatón promoted the establishment of the day of the teacher, presenting at the Congress of the Union an initiative that was established the day of theteacher and also suggested that it was the 15th of May.
Being adopted this proposal on September 27 of that year. The first commemoration of the day of the teacher in Mexicowas on May 15, 1918.
Teacher is not an easy job, need much effort, patience, dedication, commitment and responsibility to be able to educate, train and guide, and toachieve this is needed in addition to the help of the students themselves. The classroom is not only physical space that allows the master to dump in the soul and themind of children and youth, knowledge, teachings and values.
ON 05 OCTOBER IS THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE TEACHER.
Teachers receive, their seniority in the teachingservice, 25 and 50 years, the medals Rafael Ramirez and Ignacio Altamirano, respectively.
There are characters throughout the story whit his speech enriched education,its procedures and its scope.
Among them is Jose Vasconcelos, who was born in the city of Oaxaca on February 27, 1882. In June 1920 Adolfo de la Huerta gave him swornin as head of the University Department and fine arts. It was in this position that José Vasconcelos beat National University motto “My race will speak the spirit”.
