This is the 3rd console manufractured by Sony Computer Entertainment and the successor of the PlayStation 2, with 70 milions units sold in all the world. The PlayStation 3 iscompeting now against the Xbox 360 of Microsoft and the Wii of Nintendo, the 7th generation of consoles.
The most important feature about PlayStation 3 is his united service online service, the PlayStationNetwork.
Other important features of the console are his multimedia capacities, the conectivity with the PlayStation Portable (and PlayStation Vita) and his main high definition optical disc format,the Blu-ray Disc. The PS3 also allow you to interacturate online with extra contents of movies and games.
At time of release, ther are two options to take a PlayStation 3: a basic model with 20 GB ofSATA 5” hard drive and a professional model with 60 GB hard drive. In Europe was been released a model with 40gb.
¿Qué es el PlayStation Move?
Es un control de PlayStation 3 que detecta tumovimiento (similar al Wii), y funciona en conjunto con la cámara PS Eye (la misma que está en venta actualmente). El PS Move se puede utilizar junto a otro control llamado “sub-control”, que permite hacerotro tipo de movimientos de forma casi idéntica al accesorio Nunchuck del Wii. La diferencia más notable es que este sub-control es inálambrico.
¿Cómo funciona?
Utiliza un giroscopio de tres ejes,un acelerómetro de tres ejes, una esfera luminosa de color y un sensor de campo magnético terrestre, lo que permite que el control detecte fácilmente cualquier tipo de movimiento que se te ocurrahacer. La esfera de luz es rastreada por la cámara PS Eye, lo que permite además detección precisa de la distancia entre el jugador y la TV.
Todo esto, por supuesto, permite movimiento 1:1 mejor que el dela competencia (de acuerdo a lo que hemos visto hasta ahora).
