LESSON PLANNING.

There are many different approaches to teaching English. However, most of these plans tend to follow this standard lesson plan format.
1. Warm-up
2. Presentation
3.Controlled practice
4. Free practice
5. Feedback
This lesson plan format is popular for many reasons including:
* Students have a number of chances to learn a concept through various means* Students have plenty of time to practice
* Teachers can give detailed instruction, or students can deduce structures and learning points through practice
* The standard lesson planformat provides structure
* It provides for variation over the course of 60 - 90 minutes
* This lesson plan format moves from teacher centered to student centered learning

Within the Plan, youhave to assign:
1) Topic
2) Context
3) General Aim
4) Function
5) verbs or vocabulary grammatical structres
6) Contents: Cognitive, Procedural and Attitudinal.
7) Type of lesson: it could bepresentation (new topic), revision, evaluation...

Skills: Grammar,Listening.Speaking,Writing,Integrated skills

Warm-up
Ss might arrive late, tired, stressed or otherwise distracted to class. Inorder to get their attention, it's best to open with a warm-up activity.
vocabulary and knowledge they already have learnt, a short story or asking students questions, playing a song in thebackground, or drawing an elaborate picture on the board, a game, a flashcard or poster on the board, etc.

Into the theme of the lesson. You anticipate the new vocabulary or structures.
Lead-in
Tocreate the context, use new structures or vocabulary and get the students contact with the language.

Presentation
Reading selection, Soliciting students' knowledge about a specific point, Teachercentered explanation, Listening selection, Short video, Student presentation
Presentation (only if it is a new topic -type of lesson: presentation.) present the topic, through a short activity or...
