McDonald's
a) McDonald's is a chain of fast food restaurants. Its main products include burgers, sandwiches, fries, menus for breakfast, soft drinks, smoothies, desserts and, recently, salads andfruit. In most restaurants have included several children's play areas. Serves approximately 47 million customers day.2
In 1940, the brothers Dick and Mac McDonald decided to create the company,introducing fast food after 8 years. But his leap was in 1955 with the first franchise, assumed by the executive Ray Kroc.
Over the years it has been extended to be one of the restaurants with greaterpresence in the world, becoming a symbol of America, fast food, capitalism and globalization. McDonald's is the fast food chain world's largest and provides a variety of sandwiches, snacks and otherproducts.
This global presence prompted the British magazine The Economist to develop the Big Mac index, which is to compare the price of a burger (the Big Mac, the most famous of the chain) in allcountries where they sell and so establish a parameter common costs of living in each country and whether the currencies are overvalued relative to the U.S. dollar.
