The mass media are all those media technologies that are intended to reach a large audience by mass communication. There is the way people can express ideas,opinions or facts to other people.
The way Ecuador manage its internal communication is very close, sometimes it depends of the government groups or people who have the total control of it. In Ecuadordiaries, TV news programs and opinion presentations in radio always have an important preference to particular politic groups in the way that they help from its requirements. This last months thepresident Rafael Correa was trying to have the respect from all the communication groups, he had a lot of problem whit that groups for the “unrespect” way to talk about him and his government mode.Several people showed disagree with the Correa government mode and some TV channels got their opinions and show to the rest of the country, but it’s the normal work of those people. Besides Correa tryingto shut up or close that information circulation and denied the participation of several TV reporters and news programs host. Nowadays in our country, the president Rafael Correa has granted politicalasylum to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. At a news conference in Quito, Ecuador’s foreign minister, Ricardo Patino, said Ecuador had decided to grant asylum “because of the fears expressed by Mr.Assange, we believe that his fears are legitimate, and there are threats that he could face political persecution if the measures aren’t taken to avoid them.” This has became into a really polemicnationality and internationality subject.
Ecuador’s communication and broadcast is handled by a small group of people. In Ecuador newspapers, TV shows and radio programs are run by companies andpolitical groups looking for wealth and benefits.
