Studies show that synthetic vitamins sometimes may even adversely influence the users from their intended purposes of supplementation [6], [7]. Therefore, in supplementation, natural food andherbs are often safer and superior to their synthetic or genetically altered counterparts. The TCM methodology centers on macroscopic symptoms of disorders, i.e., the body’s own alarms ofdisorders. Acupuncture points and symptom-relieving natural herbs are found through empirical application of a broad spectrum of herbs; often disorders are considered “cured” when all symptoms are relieved, without knowing the precise cause of the disorder. This fact indicates that the self-healing capability of a living organism can be activated via the normalization and balance of bodily functions, and the electrical control system (the nervous system). Additionally, since invasive methods result in significant structural trauma, they must be used as a last resort. In TCM treatment, often whenherbal supplements are properly used, symptoms can be relieved without the use of surgery [8], [9]; these are additional advantages of alternative medicine. Yet TCM is not only based on empiricalexperience. Theoretical schema, explaining Qi-flow, functional and symptomatic aspects of human bodily systems, and their relation to the natural environment, were developed over thousands of years;based on the fundamental axioms of Yin-Yang and 5-Xing [1]. These are pseudo-mathematical models of human physiology and pathology, that are still unavailable in western medicine. The future belongsto a combined usage of both western medicine and green & natural herbal supplements*. People may then enjoy the health benefits of the earth’s natural-occurring gifts.
