INTRODUCTION

This job is a small bibliographic research a review of someplaces visited by my household while vacationing in the years 2010 and 2011 in Mexico.

Mexico is the main tourist destination in Latin America and one of 10 most visited countries world. This is due largely to the 31 cultural and natural sites that are considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and in this meaning the first in the continent and sixth in the world.

GEOGRAPHY

Mexico is acountry located at the southern end of North America. It has an east coast washed by the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, part of the Atlantic Ocean.

The area contains a diversity of geological formations. In the center contains woodland, lakes and mountains with volcanic activity being the band of "Volcanic Axis," which crosses the states of Colima, Michoacán, Mexico State, Mexico City, Puebla,Tlaxcala and Veracruz, the most active in present. The Yucatan Peninsula
has several beautiful beaches, a variety of forests and jungles, archaeological sites, lakes, mountains, valleys and deserts. Despite being the country one of the most visited tourist destinations are still beautiful places where tourism is in short supply too.

Covering almost two million square kilometers, is the fifth largest country in the Americas by total area and the thirteenth largest independent nation in the world. With an estimated population of over 112 million, it is the eleventh mostpopulous country and the most populous Spanish-speaking country. Mexico is a federation comprising thirty-one states and a Federal District, the capital city, their languages ​​are Spanish, Nahuatl, Maya, and indigenous languages.

HISTORY

PRE-COLUMBIAN EPOCH
The present territory of Mexico was discovered and inhabited by groups of hunters and gatherers 30,000 years ago. Around 9000 a. C.processes were developed that led to the domestication of plants like squash and huaje in regions such as the Tehuacán Valley and the Sierra de Tamaulipas. Maize domestication occurred around the fifth millennium before the common era and was a milestone that then led to the establishment of sedentary villages in Mesoamérica.

In Pre-Columbian Mexico was represented by major cultures as theMayas, the Aztecs or the Incas, plus they weigh heavily in modern history, were responsible for building irreplaceable signs of their identity that are prevalent today.



Archaeologists think that the training period of Maya civilization began in the year 1500. C., but the heyday of Mayan culture took place in the Classic period, between 300 and 900. C., and that developed in the southernYucatan Peninsula. During this stage, the Maya created unmistakable artistic and architectural styles. They did amazing astronomical observations and developed a hieroglyphic writing system to record the most significant.

Aztecs were a people who dominated the central and southern Mexico, one of his habits was to develop hieroglyphics and their communication was through glyphs and codices. Theybelieved in many gods were called by this polytheistic.

Maya: It was a tribe descended from the Mexican and Guatemala, they liked the architecture and creating calendars. Their communication was through codices. They believed in many gods for what they were polytheists.

Incas: a tribe whose culture was dropped in Peru, his communication was by hieroglyphic codices. Was also polytheistic....
