Executive Summary
This report is a Project Initiation Plan for the Action Research Action LearningAssociation (ALARA). The report provides ALARA with guidance in the form of a strategic plan for the organising committee in preparing the 2012 Australiasian Conference.
The Venue proposed to hold the conference is the University of Technology Sydney. A project manager is proposed to manage the conference and will come from the volunteer committee. The project constraints are time and budget, there are nosponsors.
The Target Group has proposed a structured committee approach which is defined in the resource plan. All conference communication will be controlled by the project manager; the communication plan identifies the approach for communicating and delivering communication activities for the ALARA conference.
The risk management plan developed mitigates all the identified risks. The mainrisks identified are lack of project managers, participants and sponsors.
The target group’s key proposal is to secure key partnering sponsors for the conference. A conference requirement is to develop one on one interaction as part of the action learning process. The target group proposal to ensure this is best achieved by installing individual stalls for one on one interaction.1. Project Background and Context
