SUMMARY

The present descriptive, transversal, and relating studywas carried out for knowing the modernization, training, development and improvement activities; also to determine scientific – technological, and humanistic activities that will be fulfill by the obstetrical professional of the private university of Chiclayo for the entailment establishment with the training institution, for looking for strategies to improve the academic level of its graduatedstudents and fulfill with the needs of the society.

It had geographical boundary the province of Chiclayo, Lambayeque departament corresponding a relating sketch, and our simple probable aleatory without replacement.

In order to research information, two surveys were previously applied to: Obstetrical graduated professionals and patients who receive respectively professional services inexternal appointment.

The results have permitted to determine that the professional motive of study according to the academic situation the following: Attended 42% from 1 – 2 modernization activities in the last year, 64.6% attended from 1- 2 training activities, 45% from 1-2 improvement activities in the last two years. 83% of the Obstetrical professionals haven´t taken any master´s degree. Atpresent nobody studies doctorate.

According to the obtained results in their professional work we have the following:

- In the scientific – technological activities 66.2% of the obstetrical professionals didn´t fulfill any research work, 67.7% didn´t organize any scientific event, 44.6% carry out administrative activities and 44.6% carry out teaching activities.
