Tajin Vive
El Tajínwas a painted city, a polychromatic tribute. On the outside, reds, blues and yellows were predominant. On its more intimate spaces there was also greens, blacks and browns. Murals decorated its wallsand interiors. Entering was breathing the art.
The earth keeps memories and transmitted all the secrets of what the Tajín was. Since then, they energetically protected the Ciudad Sagrada (Sacred City)and they keep doing it… On the night darkness between the melodic rhythm of the music and the traditional dances- El Tajín Vive (el Tajín lives).
Purification. The sacred is a question of everybeing. Each answer is a confirmation. The ritual interrogates a well as welcomes. It is up to the visitor to return the sincerity, to assume itself purified, to enjoy the loose of its fears.Permission. There’s only peace when liberty has been conceived. Only the owner of the territory can give the free pass. Requesting it is a privilege; receiving turns into commitment. Through its rites, ElTajín ruled with the approval of the supernatural. The city that stayed in time, but the locals affirmed that its powers persisted, especially during the night. Asing for permission is an act of deeplyrotted compromise on the tradition. That’s why it lasts.
