Changing Capacitors on Nfusion HD Power Supply I have not had a problem with my power supply but have read and seen people who have . Even though I did not have a problem , I thought I would changethe most common ones to go anyways. List of tools needed : Solder Iron Solder with flux inside the core Super Wick solder remover Star headed screw driver Extras what I use: Liquid Flux pen Contactcleaner (spray can) Flux remover (spray can) Magnifier Light Of course capacitors : C2 C11 C10 C17 C4 C6 Ok before you start , turn off receiver at the back and unplug from wall . Let it sit there for acouple minutes before you remove the cover . Capacitor can hold their power for a couple of seconds .While you are waiting remove all your cable connection . By that time all should be good . You cannow remove cover and not worry about shorting anything out on the power supply and cover. Now if you don't have a good memory it is always good to take a picture or drawl a diagram how everything ishooked up . Remove the power wires going to the power supply . Next remove the wires the feed the main board .There are four screw that holds the power supply down , they must be removed as well . Nowyou can remove your power supply board . Now you are ready to remove the old solder off the capacitors and board . This is where the Super Wick will help . I like to soak some of the wick with theliquid flux . It tends to make the old solder stick better to the wick . Mark and remember what capacitors you take out first .If you are changing any capacitors that are close to each other , removeboth because the new ones will be bigger and won't fit with the old one left in .
