The picture of Dorian Gray is a book written by Oscar Wilde in 1993. The genre is fiction and horror. The book was aboutDorian Gray, a handsome young man, who met Basil Hallward, a painter, after came to London. Basil describes him like an innocent-beautiful man, his inspiration, hiseverything. But one day Dorian met Lord Henry when Basis was painting him. They became good friends but Henry was not a good influence. Henry said to Dorian that itwill be amazing if he cannot get old and be young forever. He made Dorian realized that someday he will get old and that beauty is the only important thing in lifeso Dorian began to question himself. And without notice Dorian had done a deal, he will stay young forever but his picture will be get older.
Then Dorian fell inlove with a beautiful actress, Sybil Vane. He told to his friends about it. Dorian thought that she was the one and that someday they will get married. He invited hisfriends to the theatre to show them all the Sybil’s talent but for some reason she didn’t act well. That night Dorian broke up with her, leaving her sad anddesperate. Few hours later she committed a suicide.
And when Dorian found out about the deal he became a man without feelings. He didn’t care about anyone he just wantedto have fun. After a time Basil asked him for the picture, Dorian acceded to show it but after that he killed him.
After years he began to feel guilty and thoughtthat the only way to repair the damages he had done was to stab his picture, to destroy his portrait. He did it and the picture returned to normal but Dorian died.
