Atlantic Holiday: The less well-know Spain.
If you are thinking about spending your holiday in Spain, the most probably is that you are thinking in destinations like Ibiza,Majorca, Málaga or Barcelona; in the mediterranean side of Spain.
These destinations are famous around the world for its beaches, monuments and because the sun is shining all year.However, in Spain you can find a lot of differents destination.
Today, I want to talk to you about the atlantic side, in the north, where the rain is the protagonist and the beachesare really different. I´m going to talk about Santiago de Compostela, in the spanish region of Galicia.
Santiago is a really nice city, and when you are walking through its oldarea, you can feel like more than one thousand years of history were talking to you.
The cathedral, emblematic point of the city, is simply amazing, and everyday it is visited bythousands of pilgrims from all over the world.
The Galician capitol also have one of the most important libraries in Spain; the Biblioteca América, the largest library on Latin Americabibliographical.
In this city you can enjoy the hundreds of artist and musician who walks through its street.
But the most fascinating is to see the traditional galician music,with bagpipes and tambourines. Every Wednesday, you can find shows like this in the old city, called foliadas in galician, where you can enjoy live music while you eat high qualityseafood and wine.
On the other hand, if you are looking to go out, Santiago de Compostela have a lot of clubs, pubs, bars and different styles that you can choose.
It is a studentcity, where you can find more than 30.000 college students, and the party is assured.
