The United States has rejected to raise the sanctions imposed against the president zimbabuense, Robert Mugabe, and his nearby circle while the regime of the Africancountry does not show a major respect for the Human rights. This way the secretary of State has demonstrated it attaches for Africa, Susan Page, of visit in Zimbabwe.
Page was useful to move theworry of his Government for the recent increase of the "political violence, the irrational intimidation to the public and the arrests and partisan judgments ".
Though he praised the communiqué of lastweek in which Mugabe was calling to ending with the violence, it questioned that the above mentioned message has come to the security forces. " The credibility of this communiqué, nevertheless, will bereflected in last instance in if it is fulfilled or how it is fulfilled ", the delegate tinted.
Page added that Mugabe's party - National African Union of Zimbabwe Patriotic - front (ZANU-PF) -"must reject the use of the violence and the fear in his operations " if it wants to play a role constructively. The opposition accuses the ZANU-PF of using violent means to silence his political rivals.Many attorneys have denounced that produce tortures to themselves during the detentions.
The United States and the European Union imposed these sanctions against Mugabe in 2002. The president blamesto these sanctions of the economic males that there suffers the country plunged in a rate of unemployment of 90 per cent and in an inflation of 231.000.000 per cent. For it it threatens to seize allthe goods of western investors, informs the CNN.
Last December Mugabe it announced that it would summon choices for this year, after declaring the inefficiency of the Coalition government close to theMovement for the Democratic Change (MDC).
