Children At Risk For Nutritional Crisis
The Convention on the Rights of the Childestablishes the right of every child to a standard of living adequate for their physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social. In Article 6, provides that States Parties shall ensure to the maximumextent possible the survival and development of the child. Moreover, in 2000, 189 countries agreed in the framework of the United Nations, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It is broken downinto eight objectives concrete and measurable goals to be achieved by 2015, in order to end poverty and hunger and promoting human development. However, malnutrition is still a major threat to thesurvival, health, growth and development of the capabilities of millions of children, and for the progress of their countries. Child malnutrition is the result of insufficient food intake (quantity andquality), lack of proper care and infectious disease emergence.
