Objectives: * To analyze a poem doing an inferential lecture. * To understand from the context the missing words or thought that the author tries to express in his verses basedon the teamwork and the critical point of view. * To do inferences and identify key words into the poem for understanding the general sense and the point of view that the author wants to give us toknow. * To identify in the current society some aspects of the native culture. |

Methodology

The class will be developed through the cooperative learning and also the task base learning.The class will start at 8:00 am and will end at 10:00 am. To do the activity, students will be organized in groups of 5 people.

TIME:8:00 am to 8:30 am(30 minutes) | Warn up:This part is focusedon a vocabulary activity. | * Every group will have the unknown words that appear into the poem. Each word will be written in a piece of paper. * Teacher will say the meaning of one word, thenthe group will choose which word is the most appropriate according to the meaning given by the teacher and one person of the group will put the piece of paper with the word on the board first to theother groups. * If the word is not right, the other groups will have the chance to participate showing the chosen word. * Teacher will clarify each word with its right meaning. |
8:30 am to9:15am(45 minutes) | Pre-task: This part is focused on doing inferences related to the poem. | * Having the unknown words clear, teacher will do a fast reading of the poem that will be analyzed. *Teacher will give one stanza written in a piece of paper to each group. * Each student will discuss with their partners of group about the main idea that the author tries to express and the possiblemeanings the stanza could have. * Teacher will go through each group, asking for the conclusion about the discussion. |
