Would you hate, or possibly want to kill, yourcousin if he/she was a Jew? That’s basically what Hitler did and what happened in Daniel Half-Human with Miriam and Daniel (Chotjewitz 124-25), but that’s not the real question. How did Hitlerconvince the German people to do such things, how was able to come to power and what effects has he caused? To answer all these questions I have to start from the beginning.
Before Hitler entered politicshe was basically a nonexistence, a regular person, but very important to understand how one thing lead to another. Hitler was very ambitious, passionate and courageous. He was a soldier for the GermanArmy during the first World War as a dispatch runner, which involved sending messages from the front line to the headquarters. He was awarded the Iron Cross and five other medals. After the war,Germany and its people fell into a great depression and so did Hitler due to the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler became a spy and his task was to spy on the Germans Workers’ Party, which later Hitler willjoin and rename the National Socialist German Workers Party. He was a great orator and made passionate speeches that were heard by thousands. The Germans in turn thought that they needed something newand this was it. Hitler later rose to higher ranks and attempted to execute a coup but failed and got sent to jail, where he wrote Mien Kampf. This is the first step in convincing the Germans, rising topower and the media (sparticus).
Later when he had already assumed power in the Nazi Party, Hitler spoke to scores of mass audiences, calling for the German people to resist the yoke of Jews andCommunists, and to create a new empire which would rule the world for 1,000 years.
