Essay: was the treaty of Versallies unfair on Germany?
This essay is about the treaty of Versallies and Germany, this essay is going to explain my point of view about the treaty being too harsh (ornot) on Germany. The thing is that when the treaty was shown to Germany they felt that the allies were being too harsh on them, and Germany started to hold a really big grudge against the allies,which helped to start the 2nd world war.
Some of the main points of the treaty were these:
* Reparations and war guilt
* Disarmament
* German territories
* Woodrow Wilson´s (USA) 14points
The reparations and war guilt consisted in having Germany carry ALL of the fault for causing the war. However, Germany said that they didn’t start it, they insisted that they wouldn’t have startedto attack if Russia hadn’t mobilized its army. But this didn’t get to any point, Germany WAS blamed for starting the war. They also had to pay the cost in reparations for France and the BritishEmpire. They had to pay around 6,600,000 marks in reparations. Thing is that Germany was in a REALLY tight situation because according to the treaty, Germany had to lose almost all of its productiveterritory, which we will see in a moment.

This made the Germans angry and really REALLYdisappointed because the German army was a sign of pride, this was one of the things that made Germany a European Power. So this one of the points that most disappointed the Germans.
The Germanterritories is what left Germany in the shadows, the repair payments were really high, and the thing is that according to the treaty, Germany had to loose all its REALLY productive territories, so basically,...
