En inglés el artícilo definido es la palabra "the". En español los artículos equivalentes son "el, la, las y los". El artículos definido se usa cuando se refiere a un sustantivo específicoy que el hablante y también el escuchante conoce.

Ciudado: a veces el sustanivo en inglés no tiene artículo,como cuando se nombre el dueño de un objecto, por ejemplo "Maria's book".
Tanto en espanol como en ingles, los sustantivos tienen numero. Igual, hay sustantivos que se puede o no se puede contar.Hay dos artículos indefinidos en inglés - "a" y "an". El artículos indefinido (a veces llamado 'no-definido') se usa cuando se refiere a un sustantivo no específicado, o cuando se habla de algo enterminos generales. El "an" se usa cuando el sustantivo que sigue empieza con un vocal (a,e,i,o,u).
Anota: el artículo indefindo solo se usa con los sustantivos singulares.
