What are buddhism core beliefs and the way to a good life?
Buddhism just like any other world religion is divided into a number of sects, however all sects share these common core beliefs:
* TheThree Universal Truths.

1. Nothing is lost in the universe.
Matter turns into energy, energy turns into matter. For example, a dead leaf turns into soil, a seed sprouts to become a new plantand give more seeds, we are born from our parents our children are born from us.
2. Everything changes.
Everything is continuously changing; life is like a river flowing on and on. For example,dinosaurs once lived on Earth, they were extinguished but that was not the end of the life because smaller creatures and new species appeared.
3. The law of Cause and Effect (Karma).
There arecontinuous changes due to the law of cause and effect, nothing happens to us unless we deserve it. We receive exactly what we earn. For example if we do good deeds we will get good things in return, ifwe do bad deeds we will also get that in return.

* The Four Noble truths.

1) There is Suffering, suffering is universal (Dukkha).
2) Cause of Suffering (Dukkha-Samudaya).
3) Endof Suffering (Dukkha-Nirodha).
4) Path to end suffering (The noble eightold path or middle way).

* Dukkha, we all suffer from the moment we are born all the way to our death. We cry when weare born, we feel pain when we are sick, we ache when we grow old, we feel sorrow when someone dies. We also suffer from love, from things we want and don’t have and from personal problems

*Dukkha-Samudaya, we are the cause of our suffering, our greediness and ignorance are the cause of it. We suffer do to our greed for the wrong kinds of pleasure: sexual misconduct, intoxicants (drugs andalcohol) etc. For example, once a child tastes candy, he wants more and more even if he gets sick and can’t eat it anymore.
