Hello everybody
I’m going to talk about a beautiful and luxury city: Dubai. The city of dreams.
Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the UAE (united arab emirates). It is located on the southernshore of the Arabian Gulf, it has the largest population and is the second-largest emirate by area, with approximately 3900 square kilometers.
Dubai lies within the Arabian desert, however thetopology of Dubai is significantly different from that of the southern portion of the UAE.
But, what does this city have that everybody talk about it?
Well… there are many things that convert it in themost popular and attractive place for the tourists. Among these are an exclusive seven stars hotel, some man-made islands and… the highest tower for the world.
What about the seven stars hotel?
Thisis the Burj Al Arab. It stands on an artificial island and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge.
It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a typical wooden boat used by thelocals, Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium. This is nothing less than any of the world's greatest contemporary monuments and itis safe to say that the Burj al Arab is THE symbol of a fast-moving
The hotel is an accumulation of several features - from the gaudy entrance based on an underwater theme, to the choreographedfountains riding up in a triangular shape in the centre alongside the escalators, to the breathtaking views. Once inside the 180m high atrium, if you look up, your head starts to spin and you risk losingyour balance; in the same way as when you look up at the Eiffel Tower.
The interior design is the most luxury, grandeur, and a lot of vibrant colours set the tone.
Well… but there are some otherinteresting and amazing things in Dubai, too. For example, “The palm islands”, three man-made islands that have been one of the most audacious engineering projects the world has ever seen.
