Ensayo argumentativo del iq
IQ is usually measured with a timed test which measures differentaspects of intelligence such as picture completion, math reasoning, block design, etc. the results are assigned a numeric equivalent, with 100 being average.
I think that is invalidto simply assign a number to intelligence, besides they are many aspects of it and not all of these can be quantified. further, because IQ tests do not measure all aspects ofintelligence, but require being skilled in other aspects of it to receive a good a score, they may provide inaccurate results. for example, they may show that a child is mentallyretarded when they simply have a hard time understanding the format of the test.
another point I am against IQ tests is because I think they are biased. It is a fact thatwhite americans and british do better on IQ tests than average African Americans or Latinos and this is just because the tests were designed by white americans or british, so thesegroups understand the best. the test might use a certain type of language or cultural expressions that minorities simply do not have.
Even though IQ test are a part of today'sworld I really think they are a way of discrimination. people cannot prove that the tests results are accurate, many answers are dependent on a person's sex, class culture.
