Diary of a wimpy kid, Halloween
Greg steht im Piratenkostüm vor Spiegel in seinem Zimmer.
Greg: Oh, I look really cool!
Es klingelt. Greg öffnet die Tür.
Greg: Hey Rowley! Howare you dressed?
Rowley: Hey, my Mum made this... it looks really stupid,... but it protects me!
Greg: Oh great!
Die beiden gehen ins Wohnzimmer. Die Mutter kommt auf sie zu mit Manny, der auch imPiratenkostüm ist.
Mum: I want you to take Manny with you.
Greg: Guckt geschockt und traurig. Mom, there is no way, we are taking Manny with us. We are going to hit 152 houses in three hours.That's too much for him. He's going to be tired and we don't want to stop trick and treating because of him!
Mum: Manny wants to have sweets, too and i fhe's going to be tired your dad can bring himhome.
Dad: What shall I do?
Mom: You go with them and take care of them.
Dad: No!!! I want to play trick and treat! I can't go with them! And by the way, why don't you go with them?
Mom: I have togive sweets to the kids. So you have to look that you're not stepping out a foot outside our neighbourhood.
Greg, Rowley, Manny und Dad gehen raus. Sie treffen die Mr Mitchell und seinen Sohn Jeremy.Dad: Hello Mr Mitchell and Jeremy.
Manny: Oh hey Jeremy! We're going to play trick and treat! It's so exciting!!!
Dad: Don't you want to come with us?
Mr M.: Sure.
Gehen weiter.
Greg:We're going to ring at this house.
Manny: Oh no! NO! It's too scary. I don't want to come near this house!
Greg: Hmpf. Haut sich gegen Stirn.
Dad + Mr M.: Bla bla bla.... Football.... Bla bla....Ein wenig später. Sie gehen immer noch weiter.
Dad + Mr M.: Manny, Jeremy, come on, let's go home.
Die vier gehen weg. Greg und Rowley freuen sich kurz.
Greg: I wnat to make up as muchtime as possible, so come on, hurry up!
.........
Rowley: Oh... Erm... I need a potty - break.
Sind vor Granny's Haus. Klingeln.
Greg: Hey Grandma. My friend needs a potty - break....
