Al gore should have won the 2000 election against George Bush. There were many points that can show how this is true. Starting with Bush’s brother beenthe governor of Florida gave Bush’s campaign to go on favor to every request and also including Katherine Harris and her republican rights. It was for sure that no matter what the result ofthe ballots where. One or another had a card slide hide. When the recount started many were oppose to it and some of them where the ones I mention before. Ron Klain and the Gore campaigndemanded for a hand recount, which could had helped Gore votes to go up, knowing that the hand recount was not going to be completed on time the Bush campaign didn’t care, because at the endthey kept their confidence knowing that they already won. It was until Katherine Harris permitted the deadline to be extended that Bush’s campaign started to move. Not to forget that withthe voter rolls the difference in votes was huge, if counted who knows who the results could have changed. The Gore campaign demanded to every vote to be counted as part of the amendment, butthere was no luck with that. With the numbers changing so dramatically, Bush’s campaign had nothing more that start poking the other campaign with nothing more than delays. They convincedpeople that hand recount was not reliable and sending people to delay the hand recount. Other fact that also makes a difference was the riot that happen for a small confusion, which wascovered with lies to stop the hand recount in one of the counties. With Katherine Harris and her easily manipulated movements the hand recount situation was taken to Supreme Court making thissituation more conflictive. The hand recount was canceled with the results days to be completed. Gore could have been the president if it wouldn’t be for the cancelation of the hand recount.
