A real Persuasion Speech

In August 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the speech I have a Dream on the steps at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C to the American Nation. In that speech Dr. King used the following points: appeal to reason, founding the documents and values sound, recovery and returnas the Rhetoric of conversation to speak heart to heart to his listeners.

The first point was appeal to reason. In this Dr. King persuaded the listeners to change their mentalities or way of reactions to something they were disagreed with but not in a violence way. He came to ask them, talk to their hearts and minds to think with reason about the facts and not judge simply on emotion.Indeed, Dr. King brought a clear goal to educate his listeners and show them the just and pacific way to overcome the discrimination and hatred that was against them for years. The life of the black people was critically sad and miserable they were under the oppression of captivity in their minds and hearts nothing ever made them happy but that day was a joyous day break to end the long night ofcaptivity and turn it to a total change of season for them by listening the Speech of the of Dr. King their minds were renewed with positive and hopeful things as he persuade them.

Founding the documents and values sound. In 1963 Dr. King presented the speech I have a dream to the American nation. The black people were living in a sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation andchain of the discrimination their lives were isolated on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. They were still languishing in the corners of American society and find themselves an exile in their own land. Indeed, Dr. King used the constitution to respond to the tragic facts that the black people were still not free. He took the listeners to a higherdimension of consciousness and landed them to the declaration of the constitution of the independence that.

Moreover Dr. King took the declaration of the independence and used it to fight the injustice that the black people were experiencing and said when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of the independence they were signing apromissory note to which every American was to fall heir, and that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuing of happiness. In other words he opened their eyes so that they could understand the facts of the tragic injustice and come together against it in a mutual accord.

Recovery and return, Dr. King wanted to recover the original value andreturn to those with the aim of utopia and Garden of Eden. The hearts of the black people were full of hatred and discomfort, he wanted them to forever behave their conduct and carry their struggle on the high plane of dignity, discipline, and never allow creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. He wanted to teach them to practice love in the midst of the struggle and persecution bythe police with the conviction that one day injustice and oppression would transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. Dr. King aimed peace for his listeners and also wanted to see a change in their social, emotional and spiritual lives and also his dream was to see justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream and freedom for all human kind on the face of the earth.Joel Pierre
