FILM REVIEW – Summary
Title: AKKELAH AND THE BEE
The film is about a girl who wants win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Akkelah with the help from her neighbour, her family and Dr. Larabbegets attend at the competition ending.
The story begins with Akkelah speaking about how she's feeling and she said that she doesn't fit in her world. Akkelah is a black girl who has eleven yearsold. She is so shy and a bit outcast. She lives in Los Angeles in a difficult district with her mother and her brother who generally goes with badly company. She has only one friend who is her bestfriend. Her name is Georgia and his the best's os Akkelah.
Akkelah likes the letters. She is very good at letters so she was selected to participated in the first competition of spelling with isorganize in her school.
Firth time, Mrs. Cross, the Akkelash's teacher, suggest her that she will take part in the first spelling bee competition in the Crenshaw school but she doesn't want because thinkthat nobody is interested in her school. Akkelah also thinks that students will laud from see. Mr. Wels, the director, force Akkelah to participate in the competition if she doesn't want a punishmentfor all her absence at school.
Akkelah wins the competition and this is the first step to will arrive to the Scripps National Spelling Bee but first she needs train hard so she needs also a coach.Dr. Larabee is a serious person who is ready to train Akkelah but his live is a bit complicated because he is in a conflict with himself.
Akkelah appears on television and all her neighbours andpeople who knows help her to train and be the best spelling person even the bad person of the neighborhood.
In her way Akkela makes a lot of new friends.
Akkelash story’s is a lesson about how oneperson and one objective has the power to mobilize all neighbourhood. Also explain how the people and things are possible to change. I like this message in the film but I thing that the plot is a bit...
