ACTIVO.- Es un recurso que una entidad posee o controla como resultado de eventos anteriores y del cual se puede esperar obtener ciertos beneficios económicos futuros. El término activo se utiliza para calificar bienes muebles, inmuebles y otros distintos tipos de propiedad y derechos, tanto tangibles como intangibles. Elderecho de propiedad de un activo es por sí mismo un intangible.
Una parte de la propiedad de una entidad debe reconocerse como un activo cuando:
a) Es probable que la entidad obtenga beneficios económicos futuros asociados con el activo.
b) El costo del activo para la entidad puede medirse de manera realista, en términos monetarios y con adecuado soporte documental.
