d)¿Cómo explotarías en clase la rima “Twinkle, twinkle little star”?

- Song: Traditional nursery rhyme

- Age: 5-6

- Timing: 20 minutes (making a star) and 10 minutes (nursery rhyme)- Objectives:
1. Language: star, to sing a traditional song
2. To link music and hand movements (nursery rhyme) and eye-hand-co-ordination (making a star)
3. Festivals: introducing theChristmas theme to children

- Materials: Photocopies of stars, card, aluminium foil, scissors, string and sticky tape

- ACTIVITIES:
- Children make a star to decorate the classroom orChristmas tree:
- Before the class: The teacher photocopies stars’ images and sticks them on to card (enough star shapes for all the class). The teacher cuts some pieces of aluminium foil thatare about the size of the star.
- In the classroom: The teacher shows the children a star and says “This is a star. Today we are going to make a star”. The teacher gives each child a starand shows them how to wrap the foil round the star. Then, the children do this and the teacher will write each child's name on their star. (When the class finishes, the teacher will cut somestring of different lengths and stick a piece of string with sticky tape. The string will be put up across the classroom, in order to decorate it).
