Like any other prehispanic culture the religion was very important on this, this one was politeist like anotherprehispanic culture, they practice the tributes, this religion was the catalyzer for the posterior formation of other religions in other cultures parallel to this one. Their gods related to agricultureand the elements of earth and sky as the sun, volcanoes, water, etc, the other cultures relation their gods with the same kind of stuff.

Olmeca art today is very characteristic, by the monumentalstone sculptures carved in the shape of heads with Negroid features such as lips very thick, trapezoidal-shaped mouth, highlighted cheekbones and eyes almond shaped.
