Preparation work for competency management course on Feb 25th, 2010 (MBAI Year 2)

Dear students,

Let me start by presenting you my Best Wishes for the coming 2010 year  to all 10 of you.

Iwill have the pleasure of leading the workshop on competency management on February 25th & March 18th. The course objective consists of clarifying your professional projects as well as demonstratingyour talents at an international working environment. To meet this goal, You will have the opportunity to present your project to the group in English.

Some prework needs to be completed by Feb 25th:1) Create a summarized version of your competency folder in English using the competency folder initiated with M. J.P. Prud’Homme (projet professionnel-bilan personnel). This should be done withthe aim of supporting your oral presentation (such as illustrating with examples of experiences).

2) Prepare in English an 8 minutes individual oral presentation of your professional project. Notethat this presentation will be part of the evaluated work for this course. Please rehearse your presentation beforehand to be sure you stay within the time limit.

As a suggestion, you can prepareyour project presentation as if you were presenting it to the potential employer of your choice when applying for your dream job position. You can also decide to present it in a different context (i.etake part in a specific project, mission, present it at a specific event or team). Before you make the presentation, you will have to briefly introduce the context to us.

Feedback on each projectwill be given by the group. Important is the presentation will allow your audience to see the value you can bring, your motivation, special skills & presentation styles. Feel free to use yourcreativity!
