MANEJO DE LA BRUJULA
La brújula es un instrumento que sirve para orientarse, por medio de una aguja
Imantada que señala el norte geográfico.
Los geólogos utilizan la brújula fundamentalmente para tomar dos medidas: la dirección o rumbo y elbuzamiento o inclinación de una roca, con el fin de determinar la orientación de un estrato rocoso o de una superficie de falla.
Dirección o Rumbo: Es el ángulo entre el norte y una línea obtenida mediante la intersección de un estrato inclinado o una falla con un plano horizontal.
En azul: Señala el Norte geográfico que nos muestra la brújula.
En rojo: La línea de intersección del plano del estratocon el plano horizontal
Buzamiento: Es el ángulo de inclinación de un plano geológico medido desde un plano horizontal.
CUENCA HIDROGRÁFICA
Se entiende por cuenca hidrográfica o cuenca de drenaje el territorio drenado por un único sistema de drenaje natural, es decir, que drena sus aguas al océano o a un lago.
