Introduction

Stem cells, has being a polemical topic through the pass of time, but many people do not know what stem cells are.Stem cells are understood as less differenced cells, which own the capacity of rising any other type of cells, these cells can be found in two sources, in adults or in the early stages of human embryonic cells. The embryonic stem cells are found within the first days of conception and are call OCT ¾ or pluripotent stem cells. The adult stem cells are found in human storages as the bone narrow, where they regenerate tissues such as hair, skin and even bones. Stem cells are a very promising source for medicine, as they could be used to restore human organs that could be damaged by a sickness or even nervous system cells, in order to cure diseases such as Parkinson. Stem cells bring hope to many people that suffer from this type of illness, and have lost the faith of having a normal life.In the other hand, embryonic stem cells, have become a polemic and discussed topic, among religion, communities, medicine research and specialists in the modern medicine field between some others; the embryonic cells, or ES cells became so polemic because of their origin. In the early stages of conception, stem cells are removing from the embryo, process in which the embryo is destroyed. Manypeople says, that destroying an embryo, even if it is an early stage of the human development, is taking some one’s life and it should not be allowed by any cause; besides the ES cells research has not appear with an efficient method or has not find a cure for nothing. Instead more and more people supports the adult stem cells research that has already bring efficient methods, in this investigationprocess we will found evidence and opinion, in order to get our own conclusions about stem cells.

STATE OF ARTS
Stem Cells: Research and Applications. Monitoring the Frontiers of Biomedical Research.
The stems cells provide an enormous potential in health care, many studies have being done about them, which proves that stem cells research can help humanity. As well as antibiotics or vaccines, methods that are current in these days, the work with stem cells, promises very good result. Although being such a complicate method it is almost impossible to have a certain idea of what could go wrong.
The studies try to become an efficient treatment for serious human diseases, such as: Alzheimer, heart disease and spinal cord damages.
There are already many treatments that involve the useof stem cells, for example some treatments for some kind of cancer such as Leukemia, and brain diseases like the Parkinson illness.
Stem cells research is a very emblematical and polemical topic, where questions such as: if public resources should be use on it? Or if embryonic stem cells research should be allowed? In one side there are those who support life and they will do anything in orderto defend. This kind of groups says that, the embryo is a human being already in should be respected as a human being. At the other side, there are some religious groups, which sets that the embryo or fetus, is not a human being itself, until it has a moral and ethical capacity; and there is a third group who said that embryo, even if is an early stage of a human being, could be use to save manylives, in a near future.
There is also the idea that embryonic stem cells could come from infertility donators, or from an abortion procedure; this decision should be taken by the progenitor only.
Finally, it is said that stem cells research must become a cheap or non-expensive procedure; otherwise, people who suffers of this kind of disease, are not going to be able of receiving that kind...
