The idea that general discrimination is not a barrier to tolerate other styles of lifes, is clearly presented in the movie “The Blind Side”. This is also related to theignorance to the politic issues referred to the control of adoption from the state, to take care of young and poor athletes. These adoptive families are on their rights to develop their motherhoodinstincts, but still they are restricted of doing it.
In a society where black people, poor or marginal people are discriminated, there are still some people who believe everyone has the right to betolerated and be cared of. This is something shown in real life but it is also exemplified in the film previously mentioned. It is notable that the life context of a person affects his social and personaldevelopment. For example, Big Mike was very good at sports and he couldn’t exploit al his capacities because he didn’t have the enough money and moral or affective support. The character of SandraBullock has this special acceptation of what other people are living and fells that they need to be helped. She puts away discrimination and opens the doors of her house without asking anyone and expectingthat the rest of the family would accept and tolerate this wired and strange boy. Another way in which this tolerance towards reality is presented in life and in the film is demonstrated in theactions took by someone who expose himself to situation they don’t know how to control or confront add he submerges in a territory he is almost afraid of. In the movie, Michael lives with some dangerousgangsters and Sandra bullock faces them to protect mike with a great power of conviction. Finally, there is a third example of this idea transmitted in the innocence and open mind of a nine year old kid;the son of Sandra Bullock´s character, which gets to a good relationship with the incomprehensible and different intruder (Big Mike).
