As part of a whole, the company decided to assure a huge compromise byincorporating the Integrated Management System which included ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007. PDV obtained its certification in 2010 after COCTENA performed made the correspondinginspection paying out around $20.000. Every six months internal audits are performed and after three years it is necessary to proceed to the recertifying process.

Actually, the company is going to install solar panels to reduce fuel consumption. The environmental license was also given to PDV bythe Ministry of Environment that declares it can only last for two years. After this time, processes have to be re-evaluated for getting it again.
According to the general manager the companyfollows all the national environmental legislation related to TULAS. By doing it so, the environmental regulations measured are noise levels, wastewater analysis, stationary source gas, hazardous wastemanagement, tools and resources optimization.
