* Introduction and History
* “The story of stuff”, is a project founded in 2008 by Annie Leonard, environmentalist, that has dedicatedlast twenty years of investigation on the extraction, production, selling and waste of everything whatwe consume (stuff). In 2007 it created a video titled “the story of stuff” where she wasexplaining howthe consumerism and negligence of companies contaminates and extinguishes the environment. This video is the most seen environmentalist video in Internet, explaining in twenty minutes and in aclear way the stages of production of an object and the impact that bears the environment in its manufacture. TSS is basically against two things: the use of chemicals that pollute the environment andaffects our health, and the unmeasured use of products since each thing produced represents the use of natural resources and represents future waste.
* Leonard took part in severalenvironmentalists groups. She, being an American, was employed at Greenpeace USA; where every person was completely specializing in his sector: toxic substances, forests, oceans, climate, nuclear wastes, etc. WhenAnnie visited other countries as India, the Philippines, Indonesia and South Africa; she noticed with impression how the activists of these countries were occupied of almost all the sectorssimultaneously in addition to social situationsand commerce international. Time later she discovered that all this was interrelated, so began itsinquiry into the economy; this and the ecology are more closelyrelated than many environmentalists believe.

This nonprofit organization creates short and shareable videos about the production system: social issues it represents, how much natural resources are wasted, or the chemicals used and the health concerns...
