Major: Comrades you have heard about the strange dream that I had last night. But I will come to the dream later. I have something to say first. What is the nature of this life of ours?Boxer: Work, we work for the humans, but they feeding us.
Snowball: No, we are slaves, we work and they take of our food, and sell it, and after that they give us a saint of our work.
Major:comrades be quiet please, our lives are miserable, laborious and short. We are forced to work to the last atom of our strength and at the end we are slaughtered with hideous cruelty.
Clover: because it´sour fate we work and die, the humans are our guardians they take care of us.
Boxer: yes, I´m agree with clover.
Snowball: shut up boxer, you don´t know what are you talking about, because, you don´tbecome in food when you are old.
Boxer: these animals deserve that…..
Major: boxer calm down; no animal in England deserve that, no animal knows the meaning of happiness or leisure after he is ayear old. No animal in England is free. Why then do we continue in this miserable condition?
Clover: because we aren’t joined like one.
Major: that’s one reason, but the reason is because the produceof our labor is stolen from us by human beings. There, commanders, is the answer to all our problems. It´s summed in a single word ---- Man. Man it´s the only real enemy that we have.
Snowball: yeah,the humans are shit, because they don´t do our work, they don’t know how the life can be if you are an animal.
Major: remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolishedforever. Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he is too weak to pull the plough, he can´t do our labors.
Boxer: the man is useless, he can´t run so fast,he isn´t the lord of all the animals, he is the garbage of the animals.
Clover: the humans use us at maximum and after that what they sell us or slaughtered and become in food.
