Vronsky was not actually at his mother’s house. He was at Karennin’s house. Before he went out, he had ordered to all the servents that they had to bring him the messages, writtenby Anna, to Karennin’s house and tell him whether Anna leaved the house or not.

The reason why Vronsky was in Karennin’s house was that he was arranging Anna’s divorce. He had been working hard inarranging it without Anna’s knowdlege, because he did not want to give Anna false hopes.
That day, was the day when Karennin was going to sign up the divorce. While they were laying down the divorceconditions, a telegrame from Anna had been brought. It said:

“I must talk to you. I am so unhappy and frightened. Come at once. Anna…”- and he replied: “please be calm, I cannot be back beforeten. Vronsky…”

While they were discussing, Vronsky was still thinking about Anna, and how make her happier. He thought that it would be a great idea to bring Sasha with him.

Karennin acceptedVronsky taking Sasha with him. When Vronsky and Sasha were leaving the house, a Vronsky’s servent arrived and told him that Anna had left the house and went to the train station. Vronsky and Sasha went tothe train station and they found Anna sitting in front of the rail roads. She was turning her head to the iron wheels.
Vronsky realised what she was jus about to do, so he run to Anna and took heron his arms.

“Anna, you are the most important person in my life, and I love you more than at the beginning of our relationship. And because of that, I could not see you sad, so I kept in touch withKarennin to arrange your divorce. And that is what I have been doing all this tima. I came from Karennin’s house.
“And whaat happened?”- said Anna looking at him with her beautiful eyes full ofpassion that made him fall in love with her.
