BIMBO
Introduction.
Grupo Bimbo is Mexican enterprise known for it is success and importance the business world.
Nowadays it has a monopoly in the baking market, and that´s why we havedecided to analyse its structure, history and products, willing to know if it has any hind of competence in the present or could have in the future.
Our history
On December 2nd., 1945 opens its doorsthe first floor of baking Bimbo S.A., located in the colony production Santa María Insurgentes, Federal District. Facilities having a local for offices, a courtyard, a cellar and a production thatnow might be considered as rudimentary because some operations were manually, even the molds room were flushes based on certain energy blows.
The first Teddy bear Bimbo, products covering largebread, boy bread and Croutons, came to 3 p.m. this December two. Black bread began to develop until January 1946 and at the end of the following year released “panquelería” line.
For distribution inbakeries, bread, grocery and retail stores , stores shops were 10 trucks that supply only to the Federal District.
Today, group Bimbo produces, distributes and markets more than 5000 productsincluding a variety of bread box, sweet bread,” panquelería”, pastry, pastries, confectionery, sweet and salty snacks, packed maize and wheat, flour tortillas roasted, cajeta (milk candy) and some otherproducts.
The distribution of its products, developed in its 100 plants, 4 associates and marketing 3 located in Mexico, United States, Central and South America, Europe and Asia, covers morethan 1,800,000 outlets worldwide.
