1 Beginning


OBJECTIVES: To provide accurate, SCIENTIFIC AND SUITABLE FOR EVERY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT; FOSTER CARE, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY. Prevent sexual abuse and mistreatment INFANTIL.EVITAR prejudice, stigma and stereotypes. Reduce vulnerability. ASSESS feelings, communication and love. Able to choose freely, withoutPRESSURES. Promote a positive vision of sexuality in all its complexity.

The education of children and adolescents about sexual health is one of the most debated and emotionally charged. Differences of opinion are great when it comes to clarify to what extent must be explicit material used, the ideal extension, how often must reach their target and at what age should such education. Ithas even to ask the question: is it necessary to educate and teens on sex and sexual health?

Globally, most young people start having sex before the age of 18, and half at least around 14. Use of contraception and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) vary according to the information available, depending on the age of sexual initiation. The use of condoms and contraceptivesis more likely the later sexual initiation. It was found that education on these issues changed sexual behavior and appears to be more effective if given before first sexual intercourse, in adolescence or preadolescence.

Sex education should promote equal opportunities for both sexes without necessarily eliminate the differences. This is the true principle of coeducation: not only...
