6) Although many Greeks were polytheists, some realized that such gods wereunreal. Explain why. They realized that these gods were not real because they acted too much like limited and sinful human beings.
7) What were the two epic adventures that Homer created? The Iliadand the Odyssey.
8) Describe the gods that Homer put into his epics. They are just glorified human beings; they possess the same desires, selfish interests, and petty jealousies that human rulershave.
9) Describe the heroes that Homer put into his epics. They are hard to distinguish from the gods. They are superhuman and have extraordinary courage, but still had limitations.
