Is the exploration of space worth the cost, or we should spend the money on mare important things?
Space agencies involved in human space flight are located in the US (NASA),Russia, The European Union (ESA), China, Canada, Japan and India.
You can see the NASA budget in 2005 was of $16.2 billion, this includes not only the human spaceflightdivision, but also other engineering projects, and science funded by NASA.
ESA and NASA are by far the highest funded agencies. The Russian space agency has an annual budget of $800-900million dollars (and it's about the same for India), Japan ~1.8 billion, China ~1.2 billion

All that money could be used by the government to improve the conditions in whichpeople live, feeding and especially in education, which I think is most important, because our future depends on it.
May be we need to know better how is the planet that we liveon (Earth), besides trying to know more about other. To solve outer problems you’ve to solve yours first.
People that are in charge of these organizations every now and thenshould get out of their comfort zone and look around, how average people live, and they might notice how money should be used on schools, new technology, jobs, food, etc.

I´mnot saying space exploration isn’t important, it is, I mean, if there’s and asteroid about to hit us and end with human race, we should be aware, but I believe we are wasting toomuch time a lots of money while doing it.

CONCLUSION:
*Space exploration is important, but ending with world hunger it’s something we should care about to, we just have tohave a balance between both needs.
*Lots of information has been hidden to us, because ignorant people can´t claim anything, because they don’t know what they should be claiming.
