The European Nation Today
There has been a lot of controversy from the EU lately. Mostly have this due to economic problems. This bad outcome started with a majorgovernmental deficit in Greece. The government found itself broke after many debts and with not enough money to pay them off. In reaction to this the EU reacted and establishedthe European Financial Stabilization Mechanism (EFSM) and start helping Greece with tax money from other European countries and also used the direct budget of the EU. As asurprise this action only worsen thing up. Now more countries are involved in economic. Italy, France, Austria, Spain, are now part of an European crisis.
As expected thebreak of the EU will of course affect others countries. One country that will be directly affected by this will be Guatemala. With its huge exportation of fruits andagricultural products to European countries, Guatemala will find itself on a problem since lot of its profits come from the outside. This will create an increase in local taxesand also more taxes on international trade, which will reduce the profits even more. Guatemala will be on a budget deficit problem since Europe will reduce the buying ofGuatemala’s product.
Today the crisis continues with uncertainty. A worrying part of this is the changing rating of the Standard & Poor’s. This company downgraded the AAArating from Spain, Italy, UK, and France. The EU is for sure implementing new plans of action every day and they might even ask help to other trade embargoes. This break willfor sure generate controversy and problems in other countries but to answer the question. What’s going to happen now? The answer will be: wait the EU actions and wait.
