STRUCTURAL PRESPECTIVE IN

Banca Plus is an area in the bank designed to give support to the branches in getting more sophisticated investment products to the traditional customers of thebank, the ones seeking higher rates for their money without necessarily being speculative. These products are also more profitable to the bank thus the work of Banca Plus promoting these products inthe right combinations to give higher rates to the public and greater return to the bank.

We have a basic, tightly controlled structure, we have a very well defined role in the corporation and wehave to work with other areas of the bank in order to meet the goal as a department as well as to make the branches profitable in investments. Our job in the operational part is very well defined, withspecific rules that have to be followed, laws and regulations to meet.

We are arranged in a very flat hierarchy and we are distributed by geographical groups, and each member is assigned a specificzone with a number of branches to visit and attend.

Our functions and our goals are managed by our department director who is in charge of the activities of the whole group in all Mexico, he keepsus aligned with the goals of the bank, as well as being the one who evaluates our work, who implements strategies, and sanctions our jobs. To ensure all situations are handled within regulations, aprocedures manual is issued and has to be followed, this help to resolve all problems the same way and accordingly to law. This would be our SOP (standard operating procedure).

The planning part ofdetermining the goal of the department, comes directly from the higher management and is usually aligned whit the goals of the branches, this is we have to grow in the same proportion as the branchesare required to grow in investments. The action planning comes from within the department, how to reach that goal, haw to measure it constantly, how to reward or sanction that achievement is made...
