Is a federal constitutional republic in North America. It is bordered on the north by the United States; on thesouth and west by the Pacific Ocean; on the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean; and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Covering almost two million square kilometers.
Are the fifthlargest country in the Americas by total area and the thirteenth largest independent nation in the world. With an estimated population of over 112 million it are the eleventh most populous country andthe most populous Spanish-speaking country. Mexico is a federation comprising thirty-one states and a Federal District, the capital city.
Tourism in Mexico
Mexico is the twenty-third highesttourism spender in the world, and the highest in Latin America. The vast majority of tourists come to Mexico from the United States and Canada. Many other visitors come from Europe and Asia. A smallnumber of tourists also come from other Latin American countries. Mexico City is most popular with tourists as an ancient Meso-American city and the site of many popular tourist attractions such asthe Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon
