ACKNOWLEDGMENT A supplier shall mention this instruction number and revisionletter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase order. 2. APPLICATION This instruction specifies the procedures and criteria for acceptance of all permanent mold or sand cast compressor housing castings and compressor housing machined for PV. All the CD compressor housings are managed with a specific quality agreement. This instruction is used in Europe and it can be optionally used in theother regions. In case the parts have special features not covered by this specification an additional acceptance standard shall be issued. That additional acceptance standard has to be part of the PPAP documentation and requires sign-off by Honeywell Turbo Technologies EBS Application or Product Engineering and Supplier Quality. See Flow Chart below.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CASTINGS 3.1 Sample Casting Approval Sample castings must be submitted for approval by purchaser prior to production. Such approval must be obtained beforeprocessing of any production castings if any of the following apply. 3.1.1 3.1.2 3.1.3 A new pattern or core box has been constructed. A correction has been made as a result of inspection of a previous sample. An engineering change affecting the pattern or material has been made.

3.1.4 Any pattern or core box has been relocated to a new foundry source. 3.1.5 In general, the supplier (foundry)...
